Data
Collection
The Alliance periodically surveys the membership to
gather data about what services are most important to
the membership. This information guides the revision
of each new Strategic Plan. Many of our current programs
resulted from member suggestions. In addition, the Alliance
also coordinates with the Old Dominion University school
of business to conduct an economic survey of the impact
of the arts on the region’s economy. |
|
 |
Arts
Commissioners Roundtable
The Commissioners’ Roundtable brings municipal
and county arts commissioners together to update information
about the arts communities in their specific locations.
They exchange news and insights, prepare for anticipated
changes in marketing efforts and public information,
and review local and state policy developments. This
exchange promotes regional understanding and cooperation
across boundaries for the benefit of all arts and
cultural organizations. |
| |
|
|
 |
Leadership
Forums and Networking Nights
The Leadership Forum gives arts professionals and volunteer
board leadership opportunities to informally network,
exchange information, collaborate on initiatives for
mutual benefit, and learn from colleagues and professionals
in the region’s arts and culture community. |
|
 |
Advocacy
The Cultural Alliance coordinates and distributes
alerts and news from the state and national level
to all regional arts and cultural organizations. The
Alliance serves as the region’s voice when individual
members lack the time to do so. As a member you help
us maintain our goal of advocating for the arts at
local, state and federal levels and ensure a healthy
arts and cultural environment in Hampton Roads. |
