Phone: 757-625-0238 Contact Person: Sherry Aguirre The Hampton Roads Chamber Players provide a venue for dedicated and talented young string musicians throughout Hampton Roads to study chamber music and showcase their skills in concert performances.
Members are given instruction and encouragement by some of the areas most accomplished professional musicians. See the Instruction page for more information on the music coaches and artistic directors.
Each performer will have the opportunity to play with the Sinfonietta and also with a small ensemble such as a quartet, quintet, sextet, etc. Being part of such small ensembles allows each musician to perfect and display their talent. The musicians learn to tune in to the other members of the group and truly play "in concert"
Our performers have already achieved distinction in regional, all-state orchestras, national orchestras, and in music competition. We fully expect that many of these talented young musicians will go on to top conservatories and will enjoy distinguished performing careers
