Charles H. Taylor Arts Center, The

The Charles H. Taylor Arts Center, home of the Hampton Arts Commission and the Hampton Arts Foundation, showcases the best of local and regional contemporary artists. The changing exhibitions feature work in all media, and shows presented by organizations such as the Hampton Arts League and the Peninsula Glass Guild. On the third Sunday of each month at 2:30 pm, the Hampton Arts League presents a workshop, lecture or demonstration of interest to visual artists.

The Charles H. Taylor Arts Center also holds many different art classes for children and adults, and hosts meeting for the Tidewater Writers Association, the Peninsula Glass Guild and other organizations. There is no charge for admission and the Center is accessible to people with disabilities. The Center is also available for rental for private parties, receptions, fundraisers and other events.
