This award-winning facility is dedicated exclusively to the presentation and exploration of contemporary art. Exhibitions are always fresh, highlighting the nation's most significant developments in art and its most celebrated living artists. Additional features include a full schedule of studio art classes for all ages and levels, a year-round performing arts and special events, and the Annual Boardwalk Art Show and Festival (now in its 45th year). The center was designed by E. Vernor Johnson and completed in 1989. This award-winning facility includes 6,200 sq. ft. of state-of-the-art gallery space and an assortment of professional studios and classrooms. With a 4,800 sq. ft. interior courtyard and an auditorium which seats 268, the center is a flexible venue for a wide spectrum of performances and special events.
