Bay Youth Orchestras of Virginia, Inc.

Bay Youth Ochestras provide quality symphonic music experiences for talented young wind, percussion, and string musicians in Hampton Roads. Students demonstrating proficiency on their instruments perform the world's greatest music in symphony, concert, and string orchestras. Performance locations include Virginia Beach Pavilion Theater, Chrysler Hall, Harrison Opera House, and Nauticus. Rehearsals and concerts are directed by professionals and musicians who are dedicated music educators.

The Symphony performs challenging music including complete symphonies, a side-by-side concert with The Virginia Symphony, and opportunities for solo performance.

The Concert Orchestra studies and performs masterworks and original compositions.

The String Orchestra emphasizes development of skills necessary for membership in the larger symphonic setting.

The groups rehearse Monday nights at a local high school. All Bay Youth musicians must be participating members of their school instrumental program.
