The Williamsburg Regional Library System offers our community a full-range of traditional library services--more than 380,000 books, videos, compact discs, books on cassette--plus access to electronic resources that continue to grow and expand on a daily basis. WRL users regularly compliment staff on their excellent service to the community. Staff have also won many awards for their programs and other special services to the community.
The mission of the Williamsburg Regional Library supports many community needs. It reads:
Free access to information is a foundation of democracy. The Williamsburg Regional Library, a basic government service, provides that access through resources and programs that educate, enrich, entertain, and inform every member of our community.
The Williamsburg Regional Library consists of two libraries: the Williamsburg Library at 515 Scotland Street in the city of Williamsburg and the James City County Library at 7770 Croaker Road in James City County. The same library card is good at both locations.
